Antananarivo – Antsirabe – Fianarantsoa – Manakara – Mananjary – Antananarivo in 11 days
Day 2 : Antananarivo
Visit of the upper city. Visit Royal Palace Ambohimanga located 20km from the city. The palace is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight at the hotel
Day 3 : Antananarivo – Antsirabe
Stop at Ambatolampy, and visit a foundry, a small Malagasy company that makes pots and pans. Arrival at Antsirabe in the afternoon; city tours; visit workshops working horns zebu, embroidery, miniatures in wood and sheet metal (model bicycles, rickshaw), marquetry. Overnight at hotel H1 or similar.
Day 4 : Antsirabe – Ambositra – Fianarantsoa
Day 5 : Fianarantsoa – Manakara
Departure by train with the FCE (Fianarantsoa-east coast) towards Manakara (about 10 hours of journey). View of sublime landscapes, wooded and lush landscapes: rice fields, banana trees, coffee trees. All along the railroad, at each stop, a multitude of small seller’s rush to the windows, on the running board or inside the wagons. Each village has its specialty like banana fritters, boiled eggs, crayfish, fruits, honey. Arrival in Manakara in the evening; Overnight at Antaimoro bungalow or similar located by the sea.
Day 6 : Manakara
Manakara is a pleasant and relaxed city with its rickshaws, its river, its indolent atmosphere. Departure for the excursion on the canal of pangalanes to meet the villagers. Visit of a distillery of essential oil and picnic lunch prepared by a local guide based on seafood (lobster or camaron) on the Antaimoro bungalow. After the visit, return to the Antemoro bungalow.
Day 7 : Manakara – Ranomafana
Continue to Ranomafana Park. Lunch in Ranomafana. Visit of Tagnala village in Ifanadiana, meeting with the villagers. Visit of the ranomafana thermal center. Overnight at the hotel
Day 8 : Ranomafana
Matin Visite du parc Ranomafana, ballade dans la forêt Pendant 3 h de temps, à la découverte des lémuriens et aussi des différentes espèces des plantes médicinales. Des cascades qui traversent la forêt. C’est l’un de plus grand parc national le plus visité de Madagascar grâce à sa richesse en biodiversité Il était à l’origine réputée pour ses eaux thermales. Déjeuner sur place. Après la visite retour à l’hôtel.
